Our mission is to provide financial assistance to programs that focus on local at-risk youth which integrates these youth into a setting that catalyzes both educational growth and self discipline.
The foundation assists programs at the North & West Area Athletic & Education Centers. The Mission of these two centers is to insure that the members of our community are more effective citizens. This is accomplished by providing diverse athletic and education programs to youth at-risk that will enhance their physical and emotional well being in a safe and nurturing environment. The philosophy of the center is that “no kid is a bad kid” and “a commitment to our youth – our most valuable asset”.
The NAA-EC and WAA-EC traditionally work with youth that have an array of social problems, including but not limited to: poor behavior in school, truancy, not enrolling in school, problems at home, involvement in petty vandalism, experimentation with drugs and alcohol, exhibit anti-social behavior in the community or withdraw from social contacts with peers, and that challenge the local community structure. Many of the youth served are rejected from other community based programs due to violent or disrespectful behavior. We have a 95% success rate with these kids. Most turn their lives around and become valuable members of our community within 6 months of entering our program. The philosophy of the center is that “no kid is a bad kid” and “a commitment to our youth – our most valuable asset”.
